Course Overview

In this practical one-day workshop at Hereford Woodcraft Academy, participants will build a sturdy wooden stool from either oak or softwood. Guided step-by-step by an experienced instructor, you will learn how to shape, assemble, and finish timber to create a strong and functional piece of furniture.

The finished stool features a solid timber seat supported by four securely fixed legs. Participants will cut components to size, assemble the structure accurately, and smooth and finish the wood to produce a durable and attractive stool suitable for use in the home or workshop.

By the end of the day you will leave with a completed handmade stool, along with practical woodworking skills, increased confidence using tools, and the knowledge needed to continue developing your woodworking abilities.
